"Excellent trip. Your itinerary hit all the good parts of the 3 national parks. We pretty much followed your route to the letter with a few exceptions due to rainy weather. We were surprised in a good way at how remote and unpopulated the east side of Glacier is compared to the west side. And we were very happy to see and learn about the geography and culture of Montana going from East Glacier to Yellowstone, definitely not what two first generation easterners are familiar with. Virginia City was a bust due to rainy weather and everything closing early for the season early so we went to Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park and took the "easy" tour. There was a longer, more comprehensive tour but we didn't want to do the longer, uphill hike in the drizzling rain. Lodgings were all fine and very well located. I could quibble about the price and/or "rustic" nature of some of the places but all hotels were close to where we needed to be for our tours and hikes so that was good. We especially liked the Medicine Grizzly lodge in East Glacier and the C'mon Inn in Bozeman. Both were newer and had plenty of room and enough kitchen facilities to make life a bit easier. The activities you had us do were excellent."

"We had a very good trip for our first time to Yellowstone and the Tetons. We were glad we had a long visit and got to see so much. Both parks exceeded expectations. Wildlife tours were good and so was the tram ride in Teton Village. We enjoyed our Virginia City ,Jackson Hole and Gardiner stays the most. The September timing was perfect with manageable traffic and good weather. Using your service to plan the trip was a great help which I would recommend, especially for first time visitors and those who want to “see a little more” outside the park along the way. Thank you!"

"We loved Glacier and the boat and bus excursions you chose for our trip. Kilmorey Lodge was definitely our favorite place and Glacier Park Lodge was our least favorite. Hiking on the east side trails were the best. Best days were Virginia Falls, Grinnell Lake and Waterton Park. We saw 2 young grizzlies very close to us on the 1st day. A nice moose let many of us hikers take her picture while she at her lunch but the only mountain goat I saw was in the lobby of Glacier Park Lodge. Thank you for all your help. "What can we say except that the whole trip was amazing! The daily plans were exceptionally detailed and it was so nice to be able to refer to them everyday. For the most part, we followed them closely. We had to alter some days because we were traveling with our dog. We were able to find dog walkers for a few days allowing us to be gone for a longer time. All of the campgrounds and RV parks were good to excellent - not a bad one in the bunch. We were particularly appreciative of your helping us to reserve the campgrounds in Canada as that was confusing and frustrating for me. And all the information about various permits, etc. was helpful. And most of all, your help in finding us a place to go when we were evacuated from Columbia Icefields because of the fire in Jasper was immensely appreciated! You being up and on it well after midnight was above and beyond ! We enjoyed our trip and I couldn’t have done it without your expertise. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone. "All good things must end and when they are truly great things, there’s more than a little bit of sorrow to seeing them in the rearview mirror. Such is the case for the trip you planned for us. I can’t begin to find a way to thank you for your work to plan our trip to the Grand Teton’s, Yellowstone, Cooke City/Red Lodge, Medora/Roosevelt NP, Devil’s Tower, Black Hills/Mt Rushmore and The Badlands. This was an amazing trip because your efforts to plan it for us made it perfect. I could not have done what you did no matter how much time I spent. We have memories that we will talk about for years. The administrative stress you eliminated for me will be forever remembered. You need to know that your trip plan became a three-ring binder with every page posted. It was always in the driver’s door pocket for easy reference and it was always discussed by us the night before we took on the next day’s adventures. I can attest that all of the things covered in your web pages and what we talked about during our first phone call, most pleasantly came together. First and foremost is the lodging. You identified great options and your first choice in every location met our criteria—clean, comfortable, convenient (CCC). Your dining recommendations were always excellent and we dined at places we would not have thought about. Your scenic reviews were perfect. There were places that you recommended that I could have just sat at for hours and observed all that was to be seen. Your comments about taking an organized tour and recommendation on a tour company made our day. For example, in the Black Hills, we would have missed so much if we hadn’t taken a tour. Even if I had drove the route, I would not have seen much as the roads were tight, curving and you needed to know when to stop—all three impossible for a novice. Our pro tour guide executed perfectly. Shannon, thanks for providing such a valuable service. I appreciate all you did for us. I’ll always remember that late Saturday night exchange when I said there were no rooms at the Old Faithful Inn. You replied almost immediately and said there are rooms…do A, B, C. I did and we had two great nights in the iconic Old Faithful Inn. What a treat! Please feel free to post my words to any reference forum you wish. I wish you well."

"Hi Shannon. Just a note to bring you up to speed on our trip so far.
Our first day we arrived without any issues. Went to the trail of the Cedars and then hiked to avalanche lake. Gorgeous.
The next morning we got up at oh dark 30 and got on the road to Logan pass. We arrived a little before six and there was plenty of parking. Got onto the Highline Trail and it was lovely. Hiked the 8 miles over to the chalet. After a short break, we hiked from the chalet down to the loop.
The next morning we met some friends for breakfast and were going to go on a hike somewhere on the west side, but the weather didn't cooperate. It rained quite hard for some time and then the wind picked up with gusts of up to 60 mph. We ended up at the many glacier Lodge hanging out in the lobby, which was not a bad place to hang out. The next morning, we got up bright and early and headed out for Grinnell glacier. What a lovely hike! Definitely some work but worth every bit of it. We encountered a mama and two cubs on the way back. Mama was on one side of the trail and the Cubs were on the other side so we were hesitant to walk between them. Finally, the Cubs moved over and we scooted on by.
Our hike the next day was iceberg Lake. We got an early start. Another lovely hike.
Today we opted to hike Siyah pass instead of the triple divide. We did an up and back to the top of the pass. Lots of wildflowers and gorgeous views.
We are currently relaxing on the balcony of our room at the glacier Lodge. Tomorrow is our final hike after a boat ride on two medicine lake.
We appreciate all of your work putting together this itinerary for us. Our trip has been a great success. We also appreciate your follow up on getting us the passes that we needed to get access to the park. Thanks!"

"Hi Shannon! We are sitting at Jackson hole airport, heading home. We had a great trip and we stuck pretty close to your plan! We enjoyed all of the accommodations. The locations were perfect. I think everyone liked the cottages at glacier best. We got an early start virtually every day and never had much issue with parking or crowds. Since we couldn’t hike the Grinnell glacier trail, we did the iceberg lake trail instead and that turned out to be everyone’s favorite hike…..although it was a little on the strenuous side for my husband and I. My youngest took the full plunge into iceberg lake.
In Yellowstone, the timing of everything you planned was perfect. The only thing we switched is that we hit the fairy falls trail with the grand prismatic overlook first thing in the am, then, did all of the basins we had to drive through to make parking and crowds easier. We ended that day doing the walking tour of the boardwalk at the old faithful inn in the evening, after dinner. Beautiful and so fascinating! I loved the mud pots best!
My husband wasn’t crazy about the Yellowstone in-park accommodations not having ac but by the end, he admitted that it was worth it to save on all of the travel time. Personally, I really enjoyed the old faithful inn and canyon village. The canyon village, especially, was super nice…we must have been in a very recently renovated area and I loved walking down to the canyon overlook right from our room.
We were getting a little worn out by the time we got to the Tetons so we didn’t quite do everything you planned for us but it was just fine because Jackson hole and our cowboy village inn truly was a great place to just hangout. We ended up eating in for a lot of our breakfasts and lunches so we never made it to some of those recommendations (next time!). One place we tried that wasn’t on your list (I don’t think) was “Hand Fired Pizza” in the old theater, downtown Jackson. Really delicious!! We loved the Gun Barrel and the Snake River Brewery. The white water rafting and the wildlife safaris were both perfect. Very well organized and good companies.
I think that’s it! Thanks for all of your guidance. It was truly a bucket list trip for us!! Oh. We saw a ton of wildlife!! Thanks for all of the tips on that too. I attached a few pics. Since, of course, I can’t really wow you will serious photos, I only included a few goofy ones. Thanks again!!!"

"Hi Shannon and Stephanie, Just a few lines to say thanks for the great job you have done for us. Elaine and I are in the Americinn/Wyndham in Medora. Thus far, the trip has executed perfectly thanks to your planning. We left Colorado Springs as planned and went to Vail where we had 1 ½ days. Then to Jackson/Grand Teton. Jim of Big Safari met us on time and off we went. He certainly knows the right spots and the times to hit them. While in Jackson your recommendations for Gun Barrell and Café Geneieve were precisely what we needed. We actually had a lunch and a breakfast at Café Geneieve. Super food and service. Miller Park Inn was excellent—easy walks to all things Jackson. Yellowstone is overwhelmingly awesome. We travelled the park from every direction. We doubled back when we needed to see additional areas. The entire scenery was spectacular and I could go on forever about it. We did see elk, bear, deer, and of course hundreds of bison. The rivers and waterfalls just took my breath away. The Old Faithful Inn was comfortable...... We had an issue at the Yellowstone Gateway Inn—not you or us. We arrived as scheduled and Carie said she didn’t have a reservation for us. I produced all of the paperwork and she said OMG, this reservation was made when we had a computer switchover and it didn’t transfer. You aren’t the first one we have had an issue with! She went to work and said I only have one room and you need two nights. Somehow, she came up with a room and it was a suite with two bedrooms, large fully equipped kitchen and more. All for the preplanned rate. Yea Carie. She gets a bonus from our point of view as every place we saw driving around had NO VACENCY signs lit up. Your recommendation put us there and it’s clearly a quality support staff. Otherwise, we would have had to pitch a tent—which we did not have. We drove the Lamar valley…spectacular and the Beartooth Pass—beyond words. Beartooth Café—as suggested—excellent food and better service. The Pollard Inn in Red Lodge was a surprising delight—a treasure in a surprisingly neat town... Gigi at check in was a warm, engaging, entertaining and supportive lady. This is a great hotel and we loved it. The town was a delight as we walked it. We ate—to much—at Bogarts and did some shopping. Breakfast at the Pollard was perfect. In summary, your guidance, pages of information, constant support have made this so wonderful. Without your support, we would have been wandering around wondering what to do next. Next, off to the Medora Musical. Then points beyond. Just FYI, I did call the Residence Inn in Sioux Falls today to verify that they were open. They confirmed that the flooding was in the area, but they were fine. More to follow as we proceed. Best to both of you."

"At first I was hesitant, wondering if we needed to spend the money for Shannon's services. I will tell you now that it was 100% worth it. With this being our first trip out west, it was very helpful. We would not have known where the most central spots to the sites were to stay or the best sites to see. Wyoming is vast and it was overwhelming to do without assistance. Shannon was very patient and helpful with my many questions.
